Coaching Conference & 10th Anniversary Celebration

Friday - Saturday, November 1 - 2, 2019, UC Berkeley Faculty Club

Celebrate Bringing Humanity Into the Workplace

In 2009, Dr. Mark Rittenberg had a vision to develop a rigorous new kind of coach training, and brought together a group of leaders for intensive training. Ten years later, over 300 leaders from more than 25 countries have been certified as executive coaches through Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute. In honor of this anniversary, we are creating a special event that will be more than a conference and more than a party.

Join us to share and build your knowledge, reconnect with your community, and celebrate our collective impact on the world.

Be inspired by Dr. Mark Rittenberg as he reflects on ten years of coach training, and sets the stage for our collective future.

Speakers Application

Share Your Expertise

Inspired by the unconference movement, we are looking for you to bring your knowledge, experience and authenticity to create a meaningful event.

Are you a subject matter expert on a topic really valuable to coaching? We invite you to propose a session (50-minutes) or a workshop (75-minutes) either solo or with your colleagues. Session formats might include show-and-tell, panel discussions, case studies, pro/con debate, pecha kucha, lightning talks, etc. Workshops should be highly experiential.

Whatever format you choose, plan on engaging your audience - after all, as Mark says, “When did you decide to be boring?

Need some inspiration? Feel free to choose from below and make it your own:

  • Potential session topics: Coaching in a specific field (e.g. law, healthcare, etc.), “my biggest coaching failures”, how to coach your own direct reports, personal branding for coaches, work/life balance for freelance coaches, neuroscience in coaching, coaching for emotional intelligence, deep dive on leadership assessments, therapy vs. coaching…

  • Potential workshops topics: Experience new coaching modalities, peer-to-peer coach speed-dating, coaching demo and feedback, world café discussion…

Speakers will receive complimentary registration to both days of the event. Questions or want to talk through an idea? Feel free to reach out to Jennifer to discuss.

Fill out my online form.
